Olivia Lufkin

Olivia Lufkin is one of those rare beauties with a face that is nearly flawless--but fortunately for us, she doesn't just get by with her looks, as she enjoys a career as a singer/songwriter. Being half American and half Japanese, she inherited the best of both worlds--in her physical beauty, as well as her bi-cultural upbringing.

I'm not going to write an indepth biography on her, since she's got a fan website that covers just about everything you'd want to know, not to mention a ton of multimedia goodies.

So anyway, here's my little love sharing:

I guess the best way to describe her music/singing is that it convey a sense of ethereal grace and beauty that is emotional and passionate, filtered through a music style that is a hybrid of many existing styles--most notably trip-hop, rock, metal, classical, and pop. These tracks I posted are for whetting your appetite, so if you like what you hear, please support her and purchase her music from her fansite.

Lettuce Garden - Love the strings in the arrangement.

Blind Unicorn - One of her more aggressive songs, with blazing, heavy guitars.

Into the Stars - Beautiful melody. One of my favorites from her.

Escape the Flames - The last part of the song turns pretty heavy.

Ballerina - Lovely song.

Under Your Waves - One of her more rockin' songs that's all guitar.

Slow-mo' - Love the structure of the song.
