This is the letter of recommendation written by Alain Zaugg and Steven Stahlberg, the owners of Opidigit/Android Blues, and they had invited me to be a writer/director/art director at their company in 2003. During my tenure there, I wore many hats and was either responsible for, or participated in various aspects of the company's projects. Here is a summary of what I did at Optidigit/Android Blues:

As a writer

- Creating and writing original intellectual properties for short and long form animated projects (treatments, story synopses, loglines, universe bibles, screenplays..etc)

- Put together pitch packages for potential investors and pitch competitions for funding

As a director

- Directing the animators

- Shot reference videos for animators

- Directing the editor

- Meetings with clients and investors to discuss current and future projects

As an art director

- Art direction for the visual style of the projects

- Hiring and managing staff artists

- Planning and maintaining project schedules

- Concept art, storyboards, illustrations, 3D modeling, textures

As a music/sound director

- Directing composer to achieve desired style of sound

- Rewriting some of the music

- Directing voice actors and singers

(In the letter Alain and Steven referred to me as an art director, because they thought I was looking for art directing jobs when the letter was written. My official title as stated by my work visa was animation director for the sake of simplicity. In reality, their main interest in hiring me was because I was a writer/director who could also double as art director and artist. To their delight, I also took over the music/sound directing job as well.)
